i love kitchens with shelves with all the beautiful things on display - so much better (and cheaper?) than cupboards.

Painting a door or small wall space with blackboard paint is a great idea, I couldn't live without the painted wall in my own kitchen, it helps me keep track of my daughter's lives, what.... where... and when.

A top idea.
